Nearly everybody knows that George Washington threw a dollar across the Potomac River when he was young. So everybody knows how strong George Washington was.

But who knows what happened to George Washington’s dollar after it landed on the other side of the Potomac River? And who knows that this dollar had anything to do with the first hot dog?

The author of this book learned about these things from a very old notebook he found in a hollow log on the other side of the Potomac River. The notebook had a green cover with a name on it. The name was Archie Dooby.

And all of this is a tall, tall tale.
