Fear is the greatest block to the freedom of love and life. Christ came to bring freedom from the fear of suffering and death. What is the antidote to fear? It is love! “Love casts out fear.” (1 John 4:18) The scripture goes on to tell us, “the one who fears is not perfected in love.” In other words, when God’s children mature in love they have less fear.
