Description
When an out-of-control pickup nearly knocks Kate off the road, she’s shocked to discover Deputy Skip Spencer behind the wheel. Skip is jittery and distracted, and when she later learns that he’s run off, it raises new questions about their encounter. Kate soon discovers that the Copper Mill Coin, a valuable and honored token from the town’s mining days, has been stolen from Town Hall, and Skip seems like the prime suspect. Kate sets out to prove Skip’s innocence – but she has to track him down first. Meanwhile, a group of tourists with an odd fascination raises suspicions, and the disappearance of Paul’s personal coin collection casts doubt on a couple struggling to make ends meet. As Kate sets out for answers, she is reminded that sometimes the truth is found right where you least expect it.
