Pastor Kenny Mossman
Kenny Mossman has been the pastor at First Baptist Church of Carnegie, Okla., since Feb. 1,
2022. He entered the pastorate after a career in athletics administration at three NCAA Division
I universities. His final 20 years were spent at the University of Oklahoma, where he supervised
the athletics department’s external six external divisions and served as the sport administrator
for football and softball.
Ordained at Emmaus Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Kenny has spoken at numerous churches
and Christian events in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas. In addition, he has chaired the Oklahoma
Baptist ERLC committee and twice chaired the state board for the Oklahoma Fellowship of
Christian Athletes.
While at OU, Kenny also taught a course in sports public relations and received a Gaylord
College of Journalism’s award as the outstanding adjunct faculty member. He also authored The
Oklahoma Football Vault, a history book on OU football.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Southwestern (Kan.) College, where he also played
basketball and is a member of the athletics hall of fame, and a master’ss degree in
communications from Kansas State. He also has completed a portion of the work toward a
master of theological studies degree at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Kenny and his wife, Amy, have four children, Scott, Matt, Hannah and Andrew.
